Ford Fiesta named Small Car of the Year

Ford Fiesta deals may be set to become even more popular among British motorists after the car scooped an award.

The model has been named Best Small Car of the Year 2010 by Diesel Car magazine.

Ian Robertson, editor of Diesel Car magazine, said the Ford Fiesta’s mix of looks, interior design and terrific handling makes it a winner.

Mark Simpson, marketing director at Ford of Britain said: "This latest Fiesta is becoming another Ford icon.

"The British public loves the Fiesta’s style but, as Diesel Car states, once they get behind the wheel, they love that experience too."

Ford Fiesta deals are continuing to be popular among drivers in the UK, with the car riding high atop the sales charts for the year so far.

More than 40,000 Ford Fiestas have already been sold this year, with the Ford Focus in second place.

This comes after the Ford Ka was named Small Car of the Decade by independent used car pricing experts CAP.
