Ford Focus breezes through hot weather tests

Drivers interested in Ford Focus deals may be pleased to hear that the all new Focus has 'breezed through' a series of extreme weather tests.

The new generation Ford has been tested in some of the most extreme locations on the planet – over frozen lakes, across deserts and up and down high Alpine passes to ensure reliability and dependability.

As well as reliability the engineers were also testing Ford's Electronic Automatic Temperature Control system ability to handle adverse condition while maintaining the comfort of the driver and passengers.

The car is currently being tested in Antequera Southern Spain where temperatures can reach 40 degrees Celsius to ensure the temperature control system can cope with extreme heat.

Ford engineer Klaus Schuermanns has been driving up to 500km six days a week in the heat and said that he has been very comfortable thanks to the Ford Focus' great air conditioning system.
The new generation Focus will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show and will go on sale in 2011.
