Ford Focus to be added to heritage collection

Motorists looking for Ford Focus deals will be interested to hear that the 2010 Ford Focus RS500 has been added to a legendary heritage collection.

The company has decided to donate the first of the 500 cars produced to a Ford heritage collection garage in London.

Numbered 001, the car will be displayed alongside other legendary Ford cars such as the 1970 Ford Escort which won the London to Mexico rallies in the 70s.

The remaining 499 issues of the car have been sold since its release in March this year.

Brian Bennett, Ford's corporate affairs manager, said the company believes the car will become a highly sought after classic in the future and wants to keep one in good hands.

The Ford Focus RS500 is powered by a turbocharged five-cylinder engine which helps the RS achieve 0-60mph in just 5.6 seconds.
Ford will unveil the new generation Focus at the Paris Motor Show in October and it will go on sale in 2011.
