New Citroen deals boost carmaker’s sales

New Citroen deals have helped the carmaker to increase its LCV market share so far this year.

The manufacturer has announced it has boosted its sales by almost 50 per cent in April 2010, giving it a nine per cent share of the LCV market.

Charles Peugeot, head of commercial vehicles and business sector at Citroen, described the carmaker’s performance last month as "strong".

He added that new Citroen deals are helping the manufacturer to outperform its competitors in the market.

Mr Peugeot said: "This success has been achieved thanks to an outstanding range of products, highly attractive customer offers and consistent results across all of our LCV models."

Additions to the LCV vehicles offered by Citroen in models such as the Berlingo, Dispatch and Relay panel vans include Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking as standard.

Arsenal fans may be more drawn to new Citroen deals after the carmaker recently teamed up with the club to offer driving skills training to young footballers.
