New Fiat deals could attract eco-conscious motorists

Eco-conscious motorists could be attracted to new Fiat deals after research named the manufacturer as one of the most successful producers of green cars.

According to eco-friendly vehicle advice website Clean Green Cars, Fiat is one of only three carmakers to be under the EU’s targets for carbon emissions.

This means that drivers who wish to do their bit for the environment could be persuaded to look for new Fiat deals.

Clean Green Cars stated that Fiat’s carbon emissions figure for the first three months of 2010 was 124.61 g/km, below the EU’s target of 130 g/km.

"We are now seeing real progress by some mainstream car manufacturers on CO2, but there are still wide variations in performance," commented Jay Nagley, publisher of Clean Green Cars.

Fiat recently celebrated a production milestone for its highly successful 500 model.

Last month, the 500,000th Fiat 500 rolled off the manufacturer’s assembly line at its factory in the city of Tychy in Poland.
