New Ford deals ‘retain value’

New Ford deals could be the ideal choice for motorists who are looking to buy a car that will hold its value.

According to independent experts, the manufacturer’s new S-Max, Mondeo and Galaxy models have increased their residual values by up to £1,275, compared to the outgoing vehicles.

Martin Ward, CAP’s manufacturer relationships manager, explained that compared to the older model, the new S-Max has a "bolder appearance" and is "sleeker".

"With the added benefit of more efficient powertrains, this vehicle is an even better proposition for new car buyers," he commented.

The CAP Monitor for April 2010 found that the Ford S-Max improved its residual value by £1,275 after three years and 60,000 miles worth of use.

Residual value of the Galaxy increased by £825 and the Mondeo’s went up by £175.

Drivers may also be persuaded to seek new Ford deals after the manufacturer’s Blind Spot Information System was offered as an optional extra for the S-Max and Galaxy models.
