New Nissan Qashqai deals ‘retain growth’

New Nissan Qashqai deals continued to be popular among motorists across Europe throughout May 2010, sales figures released by the carmaker reveal.

The manufacturer stated that during the month, more than 20,000 Nissan Qashqai models were snapped up by European drivers, with the UK its best-selling market.

Bernard Loire, vice president of sales and operations for Nissan in Europe, said: "Qasqhai confirms its success in May with 24 per cent growth year on year and Pixo gives a significant volume contribution to the brand."

More than 7,000 new Nissan deals were taken advantage of by UK motorists during May, more than 1,000 sales ahead of Nissan’s next most successful European markets, Russia and Italy.

Mr Loire added that Nissan achieved its expected market share across Europe of 2.8 per cent, with a 15 per cent sales increase year-on-year.

The manufacturer recently announced that new Nissan deals for its compact crossover model – the Nissan Juke – will begin at £12,795.
