New campaign launched to promote Volkswagen deals

Volkswagen has launched a new advertising campaign to promote its latest range of deals for UK consumers.

The car manufacturer, which is well-known for deals involving the Volkswagen Golf and Volkswagen Polo, has based its latest promotions around the idea that parents are real-life superheroes.

Created to promote the company's Touran and Sharan multi-purpose vehicles, the campaign also includes a website which allows adults to create their own superhero identity.

"Once complete, visitors have the option of sharing with their friends via Facebook or entering the finished comic book cover into a competition to win either a new Touran or Sharan," Volkswagen added in a statement.

Details on the new campaign have come after the Volkswagen Golf was awarded the Best Compact Family Car prize at the Auto Express New Car Awards.

The model was also awarded the title of Best Compact Family Car by the judges at the ceremony.
